Good old Charlie Brown! I like this one. Maybe its because I think girls with red hair are particulary attractive. Maybe its because i've had a lot of nice girls move to far away places. Maybe its because I wish guys were aloud to cry infront of ladies and still be considered a man. Maybe its because Charlie and I have a couple things in common... our names and that girl we can't quite seem to figure out how to get ;)

A friend stoped by today and unplugged my basement drain with his basement drain unplugger! What a great birthday present! Now I can take showers and do my laundry again with out flooding the basement.

Well as of right now as I type this, 9 of the last 10 hits to this blog have come from: http://celester.blogspot.com/. Chris, your blog rules!

By the way (is that supposed to be spelled "by-the-way?) iTunes 4.5 is out now! If you thought iTunes 4.2 was slick, you ain't seen nothing yet! I'd ask everyone to sing happy birthday to iTunes with me, but I'm not good at singing. That didn't stop William Hung from getting his music on the iTunes Music Store though!

"Waffle King"
by "Weird Al" Yankovic
links by Inabeanpod

It took a lifetime, but I finally found
The perfect waffle recipe
You'll never find a batter any better in this whole stinkin' town
One little bite and I'm sure that you'll agree

Your eyes roll back and your knees get weak
Aw, you're gonna lick your plate clean
People come from miles around just to study my technique
I make the best darn waffles this world has ever seen

I'm the Waffle King (Waffle King)... yeah
Waffle King (Waffle King)
That's what they call me
Waffle King (Waffle King)
Hey, I'm the Waffle King

Everywhere I go now, the people cheer
I never have to wait in line
People say, "Right this way, sir... You're money's no good here"
Some day I betcha they'll build me a shrine

And everybody say, "Well, I'm your biggest fan!"
"I seen your picture in People Magazine!"
Folks come from around the world just to shake my hand
If you don't believe in the power of the waffle lemme show you just what I mean

I'm the Waffle King (Waffle King)
Make you want to scream and shout
Waffle King (Waffle King)
That's my name, don't wear it out
Waffle King (Waffle King)
Make no mistake about it
I'm the Waffle King... yeah

Roll out the red carpet, 'cause here I come
All you peons better scram
Out of my way now, you worthless piece of scum
Don't you know who I am?
Hey!

I wanna see you grovel, you waffle-eatin' fools
Everybody, on your knees
You wanna buy a waffle, you're playing by my rules
Go on, beg me... lemme hear you say "pretty please"

Can't you tell the universe revolves around me?
Don't you know you suckers owe me everything?
And can't you see that I'm the highest form of life that there could ever be?
Everybody all around the world, stand up and sing
Come on now...

Waffle King
Hey batter batter
Waffle King
Hot on your platter
Waffle King
Say, what's the matter
Don't you know who I am?
Don't you know who I am?
Tell 'em, girls
(He's the Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa Waffle King)
Yeah yeah
(He's the Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa Waffle King)
Tell the truth now
(He's the Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa Waffle King)
Don't you know who I am?
Don't you know who I am?

RealNetworks CEO: iTunes DRM is 'Soviet model'
April 20, 2004 - 22:14 EDT

At the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas today, RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser took aim at Apple and its digital rights management (DRM) on songs downloaded from the iTunes Music Store. "It's kind of a Soviet model," said Glaser, referring to Apple's closed environment. "Taking secure music off the PC is a morass of incompatibility. This is not going to fly in the mainstream market." Last week, it was reported that Glaser had sent Apple CEO Steve Jobs an e-mail suggesting that the two companies form a tactical alliance against Microsoft in the digital music business. Jobs apparently rebuffed the offer.

Rob, if Apple's a bunch of pinko commie pig dogs, why did you want to join them in the first place? Or would they not be pinko commie pig dogs if Apple had let you in? Silly boy!
I've got a Spymac.com email address, with a 1 gig inbox and now a Gmail email address with a 1 gig inbox, that's 2 gig's people! Pretty nice eh?

HA! found out that my main phone, a cordless piece of junk isn't working, but my backup land line phone is! Yeah! Called the water department and they have a watermain break just down the street from me! yeah! I still can't flush. might have to take back roads to work too...
Today is frustrating! I get up and have no water. Nothing! I don't know why, it just doesn't work. I checked to make sure I paid my last bill on time, which I did. So I gathered everything up to call the water department and find out what's going on.... no phone service. No phone service! Well, that's just great! How do I call the water department and complain about not being able to go to the bathroom because I can't flush? Not to mention I can't call the phone company and complain that I can't call the water department to complain about not having water! GRRRRR!!!

Well, I guess I'm going into work early so I can use the bathroom and call people and complain that the service I'm paying them for isn't being delivered.

Kiko Taco
by the BNB All-Stars

You and me were meant to be together
(so he thought)
I waited so patiently for you forever
(He's speaking figuratively, it was only like a period of four months)

Until that day you kissed him
While I was standing there looking on

That is when I knew that you were stupid
(now he's not speaking figurativly
she's really stupid)
How could someone be so heartless I ask
(please... answer the boy!)
I tried to love you th' best I knew how
But you love Kiko
I think I'll write a song now...

I was so good to you even though you
Were ways so mean to me
I thought, "Hey, she can change,
Her man's in jail and
He was always mean to her"
So I tried and I tried and i tried some more
I tried so hard but just what for
Tried to get her to see what I saw
That he was in jail
A clepto-druggie-alcoholic-high school
Drop-out homey G
And despite all that you still
Found him better than me
Mambo!!!
It makes perfict sense to me why
You would want to be with him
He treats you bad he cheats on you
And still you think he's a perfict ten
I'm sure he's had his moments
When you were all alone
But are those moments worth
A relationship from a pay phone!
Irish!
Nice guys finish last
Nice guy's what I am
I would never do any of those things
But that's the kind of guy the girls like

Isn't that last line the truth though?!

Parents of 'Weird Al' Found Dead
Apr 12, 7:32 AM EST

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- The elderly parents of Grammy-winning recording artist "Weird Al" Yankovic were found dead in their home, apparently victims of carbon monoxide poisoning, officials said.

Nick and Mary Yankovic were found dead Friday in their suburban San Diego home by relatives who were worried because they had not seen the couple in a while, said sheriff's Sgt. Conrad Grayson.

Paramedics found Nick Yankovic, 86, in a chair in the front living room.

His 81-year-old wife was on the bathroom floor.

A wood fire had been set recently in the fireplace, Grayson said.

"The house was full of smoke when they opened the door," Grayson said, adding that the family members found the flue closed.

"Weird Al" Yankovic, 44, had no comment during a performance in Mankato, Minn., on Saturday night.

Before the show, a graphic projected on the screens at the back of the stage dedicated the evening to his parents, KTOE-AM reported. Yankovic also canceled a meet-and-greet with selected fans.

A neighbor described Yankovic's parents as nice people who were proud of their son.

"Everybody who came to the neighborhood knew Nick," said John Buehman, who lives across the street. "They're going to be missed, big time."

Yankovic was scheduled to appear Monday in Grand Forks, N.D., as part of a tour for his new album, "Poodle Hat."

RIAA's Nasty Easter Egg

Posted by timothy on Sunday April 11, @05:33PM
from the more-room-for-indies dept.
Bruha writes "It appears the RIAA is being very low key about the fact that the five major labels think that 99 cents per song is too cheap, and are discussing a price hike that would increase the tariff to $1.25 up to $2.99 per song. I was a huge fan of the 99c per song, but if they think that they can raise the price on me just because I don't buy full CDs anymore, they've got another thing coming. Suggestion: make good CDs, and maybe I'll buy the whole thing."

There is no way in the world that I'm going to pay $1.25, let alone $2.99 for one song! The great thing about the iTunes Music Store is that I can buy a gob of songs and $.99 a pop. And all I'm really buying is 1's and 0's... I don't get the actual CD, or the jewel case or the album liner, yet I'm will to spend $.99 for those 1's and 0's. Forcing the price of 1's and 0's up to $2.99 is dumb. That's a lot of money for nothing. $29.90 for a 10 track CD, no way.
Update of my last post: Looks like the page is down now. I'm kinda sneaky though. I took a screen capture of it! I did it just for you! Sooo... here is a link to the .pfd Umm... if that link doesn't work, someone tell me. You might also be able to find a cached copy of the page on google, but I'm not for sure about that. I haven't looked or anything.

Bank of America to Cut 12,500 Jobs
Email this Story

Apr 5, 4:26 PM (ET)

By PAUL NOWELL

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Bank of America Corp., which completed its merger with FleetBoston Financial Corp. last week, said Monday it will cut 12,500 jobs, or about 7 percent of its combined work force.

Approximately 30 percent of the cuts will come through attrition, the Charlotte-based bank said. The reductions will occur over the next two years and will begin this month.

Bank of America chief executive Ken Lewis has said he wants to achieve about $1.6 billion in cost savings by the end of 2005. The two banks don't have a large number of overlapping branches that can be closed, which is a major source of savings in many bank mergers.

Instead, the bank has said it expects to get about $650 million in savings from trimming overlapping operations and processes. For example, the bank will be able to consolidate headquarters for combined business lines, Lewis has said.

"When we discuss job reductions, we are talking about positions not necessarily people," said Marc Oken, transition executive for Bank of America. "As a large employer, we will continue to create jobs over time. These are difficult decisions and we are committed to supporting our associates during this time."

Wow! 12, 500 people getting fired! Maybe it's a good thing I work for EDS now?

Here is the screen capture I promised!

Spymac Launches The Internet's First Free 1 Gigabyte Email Service
04/05/2004 00:15 | By The Spymac Team

One gigabyte of storage is available to all Spymac Mail accounts, effective today, Monday April 5, 2004.

Spymac agrees with the staff at Google that a 1 GB e-mail account makes sense. Millions of people rely on easy access to mail and depend on their email service to not indiscriminately delete important mail. Spymac Mail offers several advantages over other free Internet-based email. In addition to the one-gigabyte storage increase, Spymac Mail also offers both POP3 and Webmail access to the email accounts. For those wondering why on earth they would need one gigabyte for POP3 mail, don’t despair; because IMAP mail capabilities are under development and will be available very soon. Spymac Mail does not include keyword scanning for search and has no advertising.

Spymac welcomes email accounts from users 13 years old and up on any operating system. Sign up for your free account today by clicking here.

You can also join the Spymac online Macintosh user group by customizing your profile under the Options button on the top right above, after you've registered.

Now I've got a cool email address and a Gigabyte's worth of space to save messages! This rocks!

My Spring Break 2004 Florida pictures are now online.

I just signed up at bigchurch.com and lavalife.com to prove to myself that girls really do hate me. My plan is to prove this by not getting any responsece to my "please look at me, I'm very desperatete, I mean really really really desperate... so desperate that I've given up on meeting real girls and am now looking online" ads. ;)

Anyone know how I can get a job being an online radio DJ? I think that might be fun. Can't be anyworse that what I'm doing now.

Don't click this.
