Ok. This is what I think-like it matters! The state of Florida Department of Childrens services has repeatedly been in the headlines for one atrocity after another and nothing is changing- children are still being abused, and killed by people that are paid by the state to take care of these children. The people that are paid to protect the children (ie caseworkers, investigators, and childrens protective services) are not protecting the children. National and Federal organizations ahave done studies to determmine how many cases a state employee can work and reasonably ensure the safety and proper treatment of a child. This state (and Missouri by the way) far exceeds this predetermined limit. So what do I mean by "far exceeds". Lets say that they are handling from 50 to 100% more cases then they should be. This means that almost half the children or more in care by these state agencies are sure not to be protected by these agencies because of the policies that they do not follow. Now if these were jail inmates they would file and win lawsuits in court; but, these are children with noone to represent them but the agencies that are administratively and fiscally deficient.
